FGHA Hockey Operations Update: Lockdown Continues
Dear Falcon Families,
As you know, on December 21st , in accordance with Reopening Ontario Act, 2020, The City of Hamilton was moved to the “Lockdown” - Grey category within the Provincial COVID-19 Response Framework and Hamilton Public Health Services. As a result, as of that date, all on-ice and off-ice activities were cancelled.
Since that time, the province has declared a state of emergency and issued a stay-at-home order that will expire on February 9, 2021.
As a result of these announcements, the FGHA has suspended all hockey operations until February 10, 2021 at the earliest.
The FGHA Board of Directors is in the process of evaluating the financials from Session 1 as we look forward to Session 2. Once the Session 1 accounting has been completed, and a determination regarding Session 2 has been made, we will address any credits for members. These will be finalized at the conclusion of the season. We will keep you well informed as information becomes available.
