Today, the Province of Ontario announced that as of January 5, 2022 at 12:01 am, Ontario is temporarily moving into Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen with modifications that take into account the province’s successful vaccination efforts. These enhanced restrictions will be in place for at least 21 days (until January 27) subject to trends in public health and our health system.
Among the changes is the closure of indoor areas of facilities used for sports and recreational fitness activities.
Accordingly, while we are waiting for further direction from the OWHA and the City of Hamilton, we fully expect that the FGHA PAUSE on all hockey activities (Games, Tournaments, Practices, Dryland, and Team socials) will be extended until January 27, 2022.
We will continue to update our membership as details emerge. We look forward to a safe resumption of hockey as soon as possible.
